The Association of Unity Churches International, at its annual conference in San Diego early in June 2010, installed Rev. David McArthur as Chair of the Board of Trustees, the highest elected office in this worldwide organization. The Association of Unity Churches International is the governing body of the one thousand plus Unity churches around the world.

Rev. David, who has been our minister since 2002, has followed his passion to understand the depth of the human heart and Spirit.  His purpose has led him to become a nationally recognized leader and speaker in the science, laws and techniques of human transformation and heart intelligence. His love for Unity has encouraged him to lead Unity toward an expanded vision of service in the world.

Rev. David began his professional life as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New Mexico, specializing in cases related to consumer, environmental and land fraud law, which included briefing a case for the U.S. Supreme Court.  Following his reflection on what had been of value to his healing from the tragic death of his wife and strengthened him as a single father, he was called to change course. He chose to follow the direction of his Spirit and entered the Unity ministerial school.  Since ordination in 1980, he has served as senior minister of three dynamic Unity churches, in Montana, Washington, and our Center as well working with the world renowned Institute of HeartMath.

Rev. David brings a heart-centered way of life to each of us at Unity of Walnut Creek.  With his guidance, we are empowered and enriched in so many ways.  We know that he will do the same for Unity on an International level.  We applaud and affirm the recognition being given to Rev. David’s leadership by the Association of Unity Churches International.

Rob Seidenspinner has been coaching individuals and relationships for seven years. He has thirty years of work experience in diverse fields, including construction management, publishing production and commercial property management. As a coach, Rob leverages his experience, training, and intuition on behalf of his client’s changing agenda.  He offers concrete and effective tools to navigate the process with heart and humor.

Rob’s clients acknowledge a greater awareness of self and surroundings. They express a new understanding of change in the workplace as well as in their relationships at home. Rob is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) by the Coaches Training Institute and holds the designation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with International Coach Federation.  He has also completed the Core Curriculum of the Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC). He is married with two children and grandchildren.

Rob has served on Unity of Walnut Creek’s Board of Trustees as president and treasurer.

Suzanne has an extensive background in both spiritual and corporate work. She is the current President of the Board Board of Trustees and has also served on the Board for the past 5 years as a member and Treasurer. Suzanne and her husband, Jack Shaffer, have been committed to the teachings and congregation of Unity of Walnut Creek for 15 years.

Suzanne’s corporate background started in law firms and then, through her desire to make a difference, she worked in mediation, energy conservation, and diversity training. Her deep care for elders led her to work in senior services and she is now a Director for a Walnut Creek elder care service provider. Suzanne’s leadership through this transformation process is a tremendous blessing to the church.

Alexandra True, an Ordained Interfaith Minister, serves as the Vice President on the Unity Board of Trustees, and is a Social Director at Aegis Senior Living. Alexandra has had the honor of officiating hundreds of weddings, funerals and baby blessings.   Also she is a trainer and leader in compassionate communication, a BePeace facilitator and personal coach in understanding ourselves and others.

Alexandra facilitates group opportunities for innovative learning focusing on special audiences (such as: parents, couples, and peacemakers).

Veronica is a coach, management consultant and group facilitator.  With individuals, her coaching focuses is on transpersonal change and movement.  Anchored in practical spirituality and using a deeply intuitive approach, she specializes in cultivating deeper levels of authenticity and presence, growing self-confidence, and increasing emotional and spiritual intelligence. Organizationally, Veronica guides executives, managers, emerging leaders, and their stakeholders to more readily adopt and accept change.

Her corporate background includes 20+ years experience in human resources, accounting and information technology gained from roles such as Accountant, Vice-President, and Consulting Partner in the professional services and high-tech industries. She is a certified coach, President of East Bay Coaches, and a founding member of New Thought Life Coaches.

As a facilitator, Veronica has led peer circles, coaching circles and wisdom circles.  She is experienced facilitating World Cafés and trained in facilitating Open Space.  She has studied Non-Violent Communication, HeartMath and BePeace.  She subscribes to The Art of Hosting and harvesting meaningful conversations, and the practice of holding sacred space.  She is a Heart Minister at Unity of Walnut Creek, an active member of several Unity programs, and currently serves as a Sunday platform assistant. Veronica recently released a program that helps faith-based organizations find their next spiritual leader.

The General Manager of Technology at Unity of Walnut Creek, John brings a lifetime of technology experience to the church.

He has helped bring the church to the next generation of technology, including live streaming of Sunday services.

Rev. Larry Wynn

Rev. Larry R. Wynn is an organizational and leadership consultant who has worked with more than 50 churches, religious organizations and nonprofits helping them envision and design their future.

Larry has a Doctorate of Ministry degree and three master’s; is a Licensed Unity Teacher and an Ordained Minister. Larry merges spiritual principles and cutting edge technologies like Appreciative Inquiry, Nonviolent Communication, HeartMath and Radical Forgiveness into his work.

Rev. David appreciated Larry’s empowering leadership when he served as the Chief Operating Officer at Unity Village. Larry has been guiding our 2020 Vision Team as they lead us on this exciting journey for our Center.
